NTSE: ALL ABOUT NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAM

In today’s prevailing competitive scenario, there is a need to recognise and encourage extremely intellect students.  NTSE is one such national level scholarship program. In India, it is one of the hardest and prominent examinations at the high school level.This examination is organised by NCERT every year in order to hunt for the sharp-minded students all over the country to offer them a scholarship for their complete educational career.

The dual stage selection procedure is followed for this esteemed examination. At the first phase, states and the union territories conduct the screening examination which is popularly known as State Level Talent Search Examination. The top ranking candidates as per the state quota gets eligible for the further stage. Moving into the second phase, NCERT conducts a National level talent search examination of the screened candidates (approx 4000 students), consisting of two objective type tests, that is, Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). A postulated number of students who actually qualify these two tests are finally selected for awarding this scholarship.

The total number of scholarships awarded all over India is 1000 out of which, 15% scholarships are reserved for the SC Category students, 7.5% scholarships for the ST Category students and 3% for the Physically Challenged students. The amount of scholarship awarded to the students qualifying this examination is Rs750/- per month except for PhD where it is paid as per the UGC norms.

Not everybody dares to participate in the National Talent Search Examination. You should know that if you have decided to take the NTSE 2013, you are distinct from the common herd of students. Certainly you have courage and determination that can take you to the acme of your dreams. Mind you that unlike the previous years, the NTSE 2013 will be conducted not for the students of standard 8th but for the students of standard 10th. So if you are aspiring to take the NTSE this year, you should be watchful of the applying dates. For both stage I and stage II examinations, the dates have been already announced and you should not lag behind in filling up the forms.

National Talent Search Examination being taken by the students of whole of India, it proves to be one of the highest, toughest and massive examinations of the country. This is the reason why not everybody dares even to think about it. But if you have already made up your mind, you are certainly far better than others in many respects and you would translate your dreams into reality.

Be familiar with the patterns and types of questions being asked in the examination. National Talent Search Examination briefly known as NTSE is an examination to search talents in the country and provide them firm platform to turn these talents into the gems contributing towards the common good of mankind. Talent unseen is the talent wasted and NTSE plays a vital role in making the talents visible and to guide them on the right path and harvest and enjoy the benefits of these talents. NTSE 2013 is soon to be held to extract the talents among Indian students.

NTSE is a talent search examination conducted for Indian students in India and abroad. It is conducted every year by National Council of Educational Research and Training briefly known as NCERT. The remarkable change in the NTSE 2013 is that unlike the earlier exams, it will be conducted for the students of standard 10th.
