why the area of circle is πr^2 ???

// May 7th, 2011 // No Comments » // IX class, IX class, NTSE, X class, X class

You will recall that the formula for the area of a circle is A = πr2.
An interesting method for illustrating this formula is shown in the drawing. First, we divide the circle into several equal parts by drawing diameters (see Figure 1). The circle then is cut apart and re-fitted as shown in Figure 2. Each of these parts is called a sector of the circle. As sector is a part of the interior of a circle formed by two radii and their intercepted arc.

circle in segment form

Figure 2. is about the shape of a parallelogram. Do you see that the base of the “parallelogram” is one-half the circumference, ½C? Do you see that the height is equal to the radius r? The area A of a parallelogram equals the base b times the height  h. Figure 2 will appear much more like a parallelogram if a larger number of congruent sectors is used. For example, think of cutting a circle into one million such sectors. The base in Figure 2 would appear very nearly a straight line segment. If we apply the formula for the area of a parallelogram to Figure 2, we have:
A = b × h;
A =  ½C × r = ½(C) (r), since b = ½ C and h = r;
A = ½ (2 π r) (r) , since C = 2πr;
A = πr2, by multiplication.

9th ICSE quality study material for boards and competition preparation

// July 13th, 2010 // 3 Comments » // ICSE, IX class

ICSE board is a tough board as compared to CBSE and this implies that the questions that study material for ICSE board is tough and require a higher level of expertise and guidance. Even though CBSE has reduced the burden from its students by introducing CCE pattern but ICSE boards are still on. Students have to thoroughly go through every nook and corner of their mathematics books and do every chapter in depth to get proper grip.

For the the Indian ICSE board Pioneer Mathematics is providing the best mathematics content. Students of ICSE board will get the solution to all their mathematics queries which includes mathematics questions, test preparation, books solutions etc.

9th ICSE students will get complete ICSE sample papers, model papers, vedic mathematics which are mathematics shortcuts for improving calculation speed, rs aggarwal solutions, ml aggarwal solutions, online tests chapter wise and unitwise, ICSE objective questions of every chapter, doubt forum etc.

Normally, RS Aggarwal is the main textbook of mathematics in every ICSE schools but some of them have ML Aggarwal as their text book to. But there is no reason to worry as Pioneer Mathematics is providing complete RS Aggarwal solutions and ML Aggarwal solutions anytime and anywhere. Not only students but even teachers find difficulty in solving some questions of these books.

Many students of 9th class are well mature to determine their goal in life, in other words they know which stream they will be opt after their 10th class. But some students are even mature enough to begin their preparation for their dream destination.

Note : Remember students mathematics is the base of every stream. Non medical, Commerce and even Medical which includes mathematics in physics. Physics is all calculus.

And the dream institution is not a hot piece of cake that every one will get into. A students who has begun his preparation right from 9th class is surely going to achieve his goal.
Pioneer’s IIT Foundation Course and Olympiad Foundation Course will act as a boon in their preparation. Students in this course will get extra knowledge of every chapter of mathematics. They will get to know what competition is all about. It is going to strengthen their basic roots for IIT and lay a strong foundation for JEE exam.
Olympiad Foundation course will train them for international level, national level and regional level.
No burden of extra chapters will be there but instead their in syllabus chapters will be taught them in depth.

Always follow one theory “Be a master of one subject, rather to be a jack of all.”
