Respected Sir,I could not agree more with your observations. Many of us, ndlcuniig myself, take our school education very seriously and with pride. My last two years have been pure turmoil, as I tried to balance out the near insane requirements of IIT JEE classes & my class 12 education. There was always a disconnect between the two.I believe in the end I lost out in both, because I was never completely into one or the other. To my disadvantage, I realized that many of my peers were totally oblivious of their class 12 curriculum & gave their 110% to JEE.At some level I envy them, because I was never able to completely let go of my class 12 education.I look back at these two years with a lot of dissatisfaction & feel that this duality took away a lot of the joy of studying. It is a real pity that the class 12 results cannot be the single requirement for college admissions & utilized at face value. It is also a pity that the country cannot have a single unified board. If the top board cannot be relied upon for its integrity & evaluation systems, then it is definitely high time that a single credible unified authority take charge of this critical phase of a student’s life.Class 12 board marks have to stand for something. Best of PCM marks………should get you engineering, best of PCB marks…..should get you medicine, and so on…….Being in a position of some power, perhaps you can bring about a change.Best regards,Raghav Anand
